Lots and Lots of Beautiful Trees
Today I attended the Saint Alphonsus 30th Annual Festival of Trees Fashion Show and Luncheon. As a family we have attended the Festival of Trees for years with the boy's. Now that they are grown this is a wonderful opportunity for me to enjoy the festival with my co-workers vs. begging my family to attend. Of particular interest to me this year was a Faery inspired tree complete with Faery houses. Naturally I had to take quite a few pictures to share with Kelly (my October Faery Letterboxing Event co-host). I also really loved the creativity of the Willy Wonka tree bursting out of his hat and the John Wayne tree complete with mustaches.
It was amazing to learn that the Festival of Trees has raised nearly 8 million in cumulative dollars to support programs at Saint Alphonsus which promote health and wellness throughout our region.
For the luncheon they served an Apple Pomegranate Salad with Gorgonzola Cheese and Grilled Chicken Breast. For dessert they tempted us with a Chocolate and Vanilla Brownie Trifle. Up on stage there were so really fun casual fashions by Mimi Marie, American Clothing Gallery, Fancy Pants, Classy Casuals, Apricot Lane and Ruby Lou just to name a few.
