Las Vegas Saturday Night Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil
I am skipping around a bit on our Las Vegas Saturday adventures highlighting our evening activities first and then rolling backwards visiting the days events. Saturday night Anthony arranged for us to see the Cirque de Soleil show Zarkana at the Aria Resort and Casino. Once again we were totally at liberty to take pictures of the performance as long as we did not utilize our flash. The show was spectacular and the performers, staging and music really transported you to another world. Again my pictures do not do justice to the show but it still gives you a sampling of what we enjoyed. Sadly it is our understanding that this show will be closing at the end of April 2016. There are new plans for the theater space at the Aria as the hotel needs more convention space which is slated to be completed by February 2018.
Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil is described as a spirited voyage through an abandoned theater where an extraordinary circus comes back to life and the show did not disappoint. The picture of the two clowns above was actually taken by them. They grabbed my cell phone before the performance started and took a selfie. It was pretty funny. I am just so thankful that we were able to see the show before it closes as we both really enjoyed it and the Aria hotel is really beautiful to visit and walk around.
