Rise and shine early was our Easter 2008 motto. We decided to attend the very early 7:00 a.m. service at church and enjoyed brunch with our church family. We brought along two pans of Sausage Cheese Squares to share. A simple recipe that we whipped up last night and heated this morning to share.
Once we returned home I put together an Easter box for Raisin titled “Easter Bunny-Pei” and we hit the trail around noon. First we drove to Caldwell to find a box titled “Friendship Circle” that was planted by Princess Shan that was located at the College of Idaho. I had never actually been on the campus before so it was a fun visit. Although it was windy out we braved the cool breeze. After logged in we stopped at a Chinese Buffet for our Easter lunch. This is the first year that I have not spent Easter cooking so it was really a blessing. Anthony (the non boxer that he is) actually was the one to find the box. Isn’t that always the way!
Back on the road after too much Orange Chicken and Pot Stickers we stopped at a farmyard type trail in Nampa. I found “The Dolphin” with ease that had been planted by 2PUPS. As we continued down the trail we stopped to visit the sheep and goats along the way. Even Raisin gave some Pei kisses to one of the sheep. We searched and searched for “The Sunflower” also by 2PUPS but we are convinced that the box is MIA.
Next we drove to Meridian and attempted to find the “Princess” box planted by Ravenclaw but with the clues being in a poem and us driving around and around in circles through the neighborhoods we finally decided to re-group at home and do a little undercover work on Map Quest.

While the rest of the family relaxed back in the warmth of the house Raisin and I headed to a secret location and planted her “Easter Bunny-Pei” box under a triangle piece of concrete. Raisin was pleased with her plant and then we headed back home to get dinner on the table. Raisin is now crashed out on the living room floor. Letterboxing sure can poop out a puppy.
