Mother's Day Boxing...

My Mother’s Day gift was the gift of time. I asked to go letterboxing with all my kids including the furry ones. First we headed out to find Capperpillar’s “National Treasure” Series. We had fun locating the first three boxes and will enjoy heading back to the forth that was inside a closed location. Their clues were really fun and creative.

After a visit to the dog park (Jay’s first time) we headed to the Old Pen downtown and started the hike for a couple of A-Bears boxes that we had never gotten before. It was wicked windy and about blew us off the hill. We stuck it out and managed the almost 5 mile round trip hike (1/2 was up hill). The stamp was missing from the first box “My Nieces Delight: Abigail’s Delight” but the box was still there. Then we continued to “Regan’s Delight” and were delighted to find the logbook and stamp in place. We decided after coming so far that we would go all the way (almost to the cross) to find “A-Bear Ready for Snow.” A totally cute carving and very windy find. After the long hike we went to Maggie Moo’s for ice cream and passed out back at home. A great day on the trail!
