Earlier this month we were fortunate to have Wanda (of Wanda and Pete) visit us here in Boise, Idaho. Wanda was on her way back to Rhode Island but we managed to capture her for an evening so we could have a mini meet over Mexican food.
Birds on a Wire (formerly Capperpillar) was amazing and carved us an event stamp for the mini meet. We had Baqash, CW Sunseeker and Boxer Lover all make the long drive to Boise to hook up for the mini meet. That’s a labor of love considering CW Sunseeker and Boxer Lover were coming from Utah and Baqash was traveling from Winnemucca, Nevada. We were also thrilled to meet Sexy Mamma Cat who is local but has captured the letterboxing bug from her letterboxing siblings.
It was so fun to see boxers that I know from out of state. It had been over six years since Wanda was last in our neck of the woods and there has been too much time in-between visits with the other gals. I am so blessed to know such a wonderful group of ladies from the trail.
After we wrapped up a tasty meal, exchanges and event boxes we headed to my church in the dark to capture one more box before it was a slumber party letterbox style at my house. Fortunately we didn’t stay up all night carving (as I have done in the past) but we got everyone tucked in for the night and ready to roll first thing in the morning. What a great evening!
