Art by Jasmine Becket-Griffith LTC

I am in the process of creating Art by Jasmine Becket-Griffith LTC's for an LTC tracker hosted by MiSs cHiEvOuS nEsS.  This mermaid image was actually quite large so I trimmed it down to LTC size and focused on her face vs. her entire body (and mermaid tail) that was part of the original image.  I was concerned that the image would be too tiny for me to carve and I would loose the impact of her eyes if I made the image any smaller than what I selected.  Although the loss of her tail does not allow you to know that she is a mermaid I selected colors for her hair that would represent the ocean.  The pictures above are of me carving the stamp.  I logged in quite a few hours creating this stamp.  All you see usually is the top of my head when I am carving.  I love my magnifying lamp and purchased it a few years ago from Staples on sale.  What a difference the light has made in my carving abilities.

I have 4 of 12 cards made so far.  I stamped the images with my Versa Fine - Onyx Black ink pad and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Then colored the image with Copic Markers and added Stickles Glitter Glue utilizing two different colors to represent ocean pearls in her hair.  Now it's time to get working on the additional 8 I need to create and get them into the mail.
